Michael Turner

Michael Turner scored twice last week. His owners should feel confident with how his play has been as of late (NFL.com).

LAST WEEK’S PREDICTIONS: 10-3

2010 SEASON PREDICTIONS: 51-33

BALTIMORE RAVENS (6-2) @ ATLANTA FALCONS (6-2) – 7:20pm, NFLN

Favorite: ATL (-1)

Definitely Start: Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Anquain Boldin, Michael Turner, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez

Maybe Start: Todd Heap, Matt Ryan, Michael Jenkins, Falcons D/ST

Don’t Start: Derrick Mason, Ravens D/ST

Analysis: Ah, Thursday Night Football is back. Oh Bob Papa, where have tho been? This honestly could not be a better matchup to kick off football on Thursdays. The NFC’s best team against the AFC’s Super Bowl favorite. The bruising Baltimore defense has been surprisingly average against the run this season which makes Michael “The Burner” Turner my best bet in this game. Both Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco have almost identical numbers. Because of the threat of the Ravens secondary, I like Flacco slightly more fantasy-wise. Ryan isn’t a horrible play but if you have a better matchup on Sunday or Monday, skip Ryan tonight. This is a bad, bad week to have a QB with byes – no Rodgers, Brees, or Rivers. On the Ravens, I like Boldin to have his oddly timed monster game. Should be a great game and entertaining to say the least.

Prediction: Ravens 24, Falcons 18.
